Sai Kaew Beach Resort

The staff made a big impression on us. Everyone, from the front desk and housekeeping to the security guards, was friendly, attentive, smiling, and clearly trained to serve guests well. The Mango Restaurant team deserves a special mention for being professional, quick, neat, graceful, and careful about the details. We stayed four days and three nights in a Deluxe Room and loved it. Plenty of outlets, strong water pressure, hot water that came through quickly, and blackout curtains that made it properly dark and cozy for sleeping. The resort has three pools and a gym with clean, new equipment. Our family also made a daily stop at the super delicious ice cream shop. Breakfast had a good, satisfying spread. We'd definitely stay here again.

We've brought our group of 25 here three years in a row, and we plan to return. The resort is exceptionally well run and has something for everyone. Breakfast has been the best we've had anywhere, with great quality and plenty of choice. On our last visit, 24/12-1/1/26, the live band and singers were excellent and so much fun, definitely five stars. The staff are wonderful, especially Khun Vit, Ice, Gai, Ram, and Pae, who are always friendly and attentive. The cottages at the far end are comfortable, though the shower rooms are beginning to look tired. A lighter cream color on the exterior could freshen them up.

Everything was gorgeous, from the food, rooms, drinks, and people to the property and the view. Such a top-notch place, 100/100. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Thailand again. Update: I came back a month later with a family member, and this time I noticed some really frustrating problems. I'd seen earlier complaints about staff treating European-looking guests differently from Asian guests, and it does seem to happen. At least some staff in green polo shirts act very differently toward Europeans and Asians. One man even refused to help with our luggage, so we had to carry the bags ourselves. The staff need proper training or the hotel could lose guests. Racial discrimination is completely unacceptable. The beach also needs better security. People keep trying to sell you things all day, and it makes it hard to relax. It can leave you uncomfortable, and some of the activity feels aggressive. Could the beach staff do something to protect guests from it? On my second stay before that, everything had been fine. The location is brilliant, and the staff were amazing. Special thanks to Beauty at reception and Lao, who cleaned my room, 949. They were both so sweet and friendly. I loved it and planned to come back soon.
