Chiang Rai Airport Hotel

I woke up with ants in the bed that had bitten my neck. The entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, and the smell got into the room. The entertainment venue was noisy, too. At 700 baht, you can definitely find better places elsewhere. If cigarette smell bothers you, don’t stay here.

It’s affordable, easy to find, and brightly lit at night. The rooms are clean and it’s quiet, with no plane noise even though it’s right beside the runway. There isn’t much parking, though.

Very clean rooms for Thailand, and the reception staff were helpful. They offer a shuttle to the airport for 100 baht. The hotel is right at the airport, so it’s perfect if you’re flying the next day.

There’s an elevator, a sofa to sit on, good water pressure, and cool air conditioning. I slept comfortably in a clean room. It’s very close to the airport, which is handy before a flight. When I stayed on 4 Oct 2015, the rate was 700 baht per night for 2 people.
