dcondo Hyde Chiangrai

It was a relaxing spot, away from the airplane noise. I could walk to two big supermarkets, get some exercise in the morning, park securely and swim.

The rooms are on the small side, which isn't really my taste, though they're finished very nicely. The building is newer, and I have friends who live there, so visiting them isn't a problem. The no-smoking rule across the whole property is a real bummer. The price is also a bit too high for me to be persuaded to move in, but it suits other people fine.

I've been in Chiang Rai and the same dCondo flat for four years, and the staff and facilities have never given me trouble. They've always been ready to help. After I slipped and fell late last year, I could barely move for a few weeks. When Tops groceries arrived, a staff member brought them up to my flat; they also brought parcels to me. With both hands swollen, I couldn't open water bottles, and someone came to open a few. They went well beyond their job titles for me. I haven't needed repairs in my flat, but neighbors have, and staff responded quickly and efficiently. The location makes daily life easy, with everything in walking distance. Big C, a sort of mall with a grocery store, is practically next door, and Central Plaza is about a five-minute walk across the road. It has lots of eateries, a supermarket, a department store and the usual mall shops. Flat prices depend on size and location. One-bedroom units usually run 7,000baht - 9,500baht, while two-bedroom ones start at 14,000baht.

We spent a month at d condo and had a great time. The suites were modern, clean and nice, and the gym and pool were lovely. Shops are close by, with the grocery store about a five-minute walk away. Ants were the one problem in our place. I told the landlord, who dealt with it right away by putting down traps, and they were gone within a couple of days. Friends staying there had the same issue, so it may affect other suites too. It wasn't a big deal, but that was my only complaint. I'd recommend d condo for a longer stay in chiang rai.
