Noks Garden Resort

At 14 euros a day, it felt like living a dream, and I plan to come back soon. Nok's Garden is unlike anywhere else I've stayed, so natural and unspoiled, with everything needed for a memorable stay. Nok is an amazing guide and a fantastic cook. She took us to see the golden triangle, the white temple, villages and other lovely places. Rudi and Martina are cheerful, funny people. I've traveled half the world, and this is the most natural resort I've visited so far.

It's especially quiet at night, and the grounds are full of flowers, fruit trees and ponds with lots of fish. The spacious bungalows are comfortable and have hot showers. Free wifi is available in the restaurant, and they offer motorbikes for rent at a very reasonable price. Rudi, the owner, is helpful with advice about Chiang Rai. His food is healthy and focused on organic ingredients, and he makes fruit juices from the garden, including pomelo, soursop, passion fruit and guava. No chemicals. A safe, peaceful place for anyone wanting organic food, which is very rare in Thailand. Five stars.

We spent a good week at Rudi's place, and he and his daughter Martina made us feel so welcome. Their kindness and helpful guidance meant a lot. We had lovely breakfasts with fruit from the garden, and the whole stay was memorable. Thank you so much.
