I stayed at Pornkasem House during a visit to Chiang Rai in March 2025. The staff were kind and helpful even though my Thai is limited. The rooms are clean and spacious, with everything I needed, including a balcony. It's a little outside the center, but close to the city's biggest mall.

For 450 baht (11 feb 2024), I got a big, clean room and a roomy bathroom where the hot water worked well. The area was quiet too.

We were really happy with our stay. The room was big and super clean, with hot water, a strong WiFi signal, a fridge, air conditioning, and shower facilities. Big C is close by, and it was only a 6-7 minute drive to the Night bazar and walking street. We rented a motorcycle there. Thanks so much, highly recommended!

The bed was very hard and the walls let through a lot of sound. The toilet leaked. On the plus side, the desk and chair were comfortable for working, the balcony was extra large, and the refrigerator was huge. Reception lent me a kettle.
