We arrived for the New Year holiday after booking seven rooms for my family in advance, and I was shocked by how dirty every room was. All seven were bad: there was dust, some floors had ants, the rooms smelled musty, the mattresses were dusty, the bathrooms were unclean, one bidet was broken, and the trash bins hadn’t been emptied. I ended up sweeping and wiping tables myself. I can’t understand why they hadn’t cleaned before we arrived when they knew we were coming. The male owner saw me cleaning and didn’t apologize or offer to help. I was very disappointed. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place. Terrible!

The owner was friendly and left us alone after opening the room, and it was quiet, with cool air conditioning and hot water. There was no breakfast. But for 500 baht, it felt too expensive given how unclean it was. The room didn’t look swept, so luckily there was a broom outside and we cleaned it ourselves. There were lots of hairs on the mattress, so we used the resort’s blanket to cover it. The bedroom was tolerable, but the bathroom was unbearable: feces stuck to it, a yellow toilet with black stains inside and out, yellow marks all over the walls, and a filthy liquid soap dispenser I didn’t dare use. It looked like the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned at all. Better cleanliness would make a big difference.

It’s a quiet resort made up of separate bungalows, and you can park right beside your room. I arrived at midnight to find nobody at reception, just a sign with a phone number saying rooms were available. The first number hung up, but a man answered the second and came over quickly. He was kind and smiling. The room was roomy and comfortable, with cold air conditioning, hot water, a fridge, kettle, coffee, and Wi-Fi. It was very quiet, with no noise bothering us, and the grounds had lots of lovely trees and were well cared for. The price was reasonable.

Breakfast came with the stay for 500-600 baht, with rice porridge or fried rice to choose from. I went with an omelet. The bungalows are separate, and you can park right outside each one. It’s a lovely, atmospheric little resort about 400 meters from Baan Dam Museum. I’d happily stay again if I get the chance.

The owner gave us good suggestions, and the place has a nice feel to it. Each pretty bungalow costs 600 baht, with convenient parking right beside it. It’s quiet and well away from the city, so having a car would suit you, though the entrance lane is narrow. The room itself needs some attention: there’s only soap, no mirror, sticky marks around the sink, and the towels are quite old. Breakfast isn’t included.
