I stayed two nights here, five months after the heavy flooding. Sand, dust, and dried mud were still visible all around Chiang Rai town. The 2024 flood had wiped out the grass and landscaping in the house compound. My photo shows how sorry it looked, though it seems photo uploads have been blocked. I felt glad to support the woman who runs the house, since she'd worked very hard to reopen it and bring the greenery back. Anyone staying here needs transport. It's very dark at night, and the walk out to the main roads is long and scary.

The Terrace room was very new and clean, with a big terrace looking out over the river and a nice view both day and night. The property is quiet and private, a good place to relax. The common spaces are spacious inside and out, and the front yard is huge and enjoyable. The decor has a unique style, whatever it is, and felt comfortable.

The owner was very kind and accommodating. She personally picked us up at the bus station and took us to the airport. The house has a great view and feels spacious all the way from the garden to the rooms.

There's a great balcony for sitting in the sun, and the house feels like home in a lovely spot by the river. The bath had no hot water at all, though the shower was fine. There were no plugs by the bed for charging a phone or computer, and watching TV from bed wasn't very comfortable.
