Y2 Residence

We moved here after our room at Golden Land turned out to be unacceptable, and were upgraded for an extra charge. Our first room in the new Y2 building, opposite Chyn Cafe, smelled strongly of something industrial and toxic. We eventually traced it to the mattress, maybe latex, so we changed rooms for the last three nights. The second room was better, with a comfortable bed and quiet, effective air conditioning. It had a big fridge and a counter with a sink, but oddly no kettle, coffee, microwave, or place to eat. Though set up for longer stays, the room felt rather small for that. The upper floors seemed mostly occupied, and I think the rooms are generally rented by the month. Y2 is next to the older building, and still being finished, with a laundry room being installed. The old building has three laundry machines and some fitness equipment.
