Sun City Hotel Pattaya

The cleaning and wait staff were nice, though the front desk could have been friendlier. It’s an older hotel and the rooms could use updates. Indian food is served all day, and the neighborhood seems to have only Indian restaurants. There are lots of nearby Indian vegan and vegetarian options, but Thai food isn’t easy to find. The room was meant to have an ocean view, but it was only partial, with a lot of blighted buildings in sight as well. Wi-Fi was okay when it stayed connected, but it kept dropping. The walls are thin, and the people next door were very noisy. It was okay.

After housekeeping on Nov 9th / Nov 10th 2025, a package of new skincare products I’d bought was missing from my room. I only realized it was gone after I’d left Pattaya. I’d also misplaced some used shoes, and the hotel found those, but the new products vanished like a mystery. Be careful with your belongings here. I won’t recommend this hotel.

I’d give this place zero stars if I could. From the start, the facilities were bad: the Wi-Fi never worked, bathroom tiles were broken, and there were ants in the rooms. The lights kept switching on and off by themselves despite the settings being configured properly. At 3 AM someone rang our doorbell, which turned the lights off and disturbed our sleep. After we complained many times to the staff and our agent, we were moved to a second room, but there were more problems. The bathroom door had no lock and the bathroom was clogged, so we had to call staff to fix things. Some of the guests were loud all night, making the atmosphere unpleasant. Breakfast wasn’t good either. The food quality was poor, there were ants at the coffee station, and the cutlery was dirty. We had to ask for clean bowls, and finding a strand of hair in our food was very concerning. Avoid this place.

The rooms are beautiful and the service is high quality. Tourist spots are nearby, and facilities are available. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
