BE CAREFULL. They charged me 300 baht for dirt on a floor foot towel, and another couple was charged 500 baht for a wet towel they left in the room. Maybe stay here if you're stuck and need a room, but I wouldn't for more than one day. The area around the hotel is friendly and seems like a nice place to chill.

We meant to spend a relaxing month in Jomtien with friends, but an accidental booking at Beds by boonjiri turned the trip into a nightmare. We’d found a few places online, but they were filling up quickly, so we rushed to book. Somehow we clicked the wrong hotel. We noticed within seconds of paying, emailed right away to explain and ask for a refund, and got only “No Refunds.” It was an honest mistake that seemed easy to fix with decent customer service. Once we reached Thailand, we travelled 45mins to the hotel to explain in person. I spent about 15mins writing a message in Google Translate for the front desk lady. She barely looked at the screen before rolling her eyes and handing my phone back, saying “no refunds.” We insisted she contact the owner and said we wouldn’t leave until we spoke to them. After arguing, she called somebody. I don’t know who, but she chatted in Thai and snickered at us, then told us again that there would be no refund. They kept about $800CAD for a room we had booked by mistake, leaving us unable to afford another room in Jomtien. We were stuck more than 45mins drive from our friends, paying extra to rent a bike and ride a horribly dangerous highway back and forth whenever we wanted to see them or go to the beach. The room was disgusting too. There were moldy holes in the bathroom ceiling, cobwebs and spiders in the corners, and the uncovered fan in the bathroom wall let cockroaches and mosquitoes come in. We soon found a whole family of pigeons living in the ceiling. Within minutes of getting the room, we went back to ask for our money back. The front desk lady seemed not to care and smirked as she offered a room change while repeating “no refunds will be given.” We wanted our money back. The pigeons flew in and out through the roof and called day and night, so we barely slept. We spent nearly 3 wks of our month-long “vacation” there, saw our friends only 3 or 4 times in all, then finally packed up and left early. This ruined our holiday and a month of our lives, and it was the worst service we’ve had in any country we’ve travelled, including all the southeast Asian countries we’ve visited. It will be our first and last trip to Thailand. Around town there are disgusting storm drains and ditches full of garbage. I’d sleep in those before giving this hotel a dollar. Even 0 stars would be too generous. This isn’t a bitter review from a disgruntled customer. I took pics and video proof of everything.

The check-in rule meant I had to wait until 14:00, even though I arrived between 13:00 and 14:00 and nothing was happening or any rooms being prepared. The reception staff didn’t speak English, and the hotel name was spelled incorrectly too. The building layout is bizarre. The elevator stops halfway between floors, so you have to carry your heavy suitcase up or down two flights of stairs to reach your room. The curtains were far too long for the room and, as I discovered, made a great hiding place for insects. A cockroach showed up while I was reading. I killed it with my shoe, then had a very uncomfortable night. I’m on a 5-month trip in Asia and usually stay in a different hotel every other day. This was the worst one I’ve had. At checkout, nobody was at reception, and there was no taxi service available.

The water smelled of sulfur. Otherwise, it was clean and comfortable, and fine for an overnight stay.

The aircon was noisy, and there were too many little cockroaches.
