Baan Chai Thung

We’ve stayed twice and will be back. The rooms are lovely and spaced apart, so there’s plenty of privacy. Mischa is very helpful, and the pool and grounds are wonderfully peaceful. The restaurant at the front is lovely and convenient. We walked into the village each evening, and it wasn’t too far. Thanks, Mischa.

If peace, nature, and birdsong in the morning are what you need, Baan Chai Thung Resort is a lovely place to rest. The resort centers around water plants, with water lilies and flowers all around. There are quiet gazebos in the pond and along the path to a cute, well-kept pool. Micha, a friendly and helpful Swiss national, runs the place with his Thai wife. Coco and his sister Cookie, the resident pedigree dogs, patrol the grounds day and night and make for friendly personal security.

Such good value. The grounds are full of plants and have a lovely atmosphere, and the warm pool is calm and relaxing. Our comfortable room had everything we needed, and it all worked perfectly. The breakfast was amazing. It’s a small resort, so it felt private and homey, with only a few other people around. Micha and his wife were welcoming and helpful. I’m definitely coming back and telling friends and family about it 😊👍

A reasonably priced stay with friendly staff. The rooms were nicely decorated, and the air conditioners worked well. Breakfast was enough, and the pool was a decent size. WiFi may be weak in most areas. We were there during Loy Krathong, so fireworks and firecrackers could be heard.
