We booked two nights on the way to Chiang Mai, and if we’d known what the place was like, we would have driven straight there. The cabin-style rooms look appealing from outside, but inside there wasn’t a single table, even by the bed, so charging devices meant cables hanging everywhere. The washbasin is outside. That might fit a glamping site, but here it came across as lazy design. Holes and cracks in the walls and roof had been covered with duct tape, and we didn’t feel safe staying there. It looks good in photos, but the reality was a letdown. It’s definitely not suitable for children or wheelchair users. I wouldn’t recommend it. There are plenty of better places nearby.

The views were amazing, and I loved how the owner and everyone there made me feel at home. I stayed for five wonderful days and appreciated every moment. My one issue was the value: $500 for five nights felt too high for a geo dome when so much of the appeal is the view. For that price, I hoped for a more luxurious breakfast, pricier fruit and products, a more personal touch, and more personal care items. I’ve stayed elsewhere and had just as good an experience for a lot less, so please take that advice, Ka. I love you guys and would love to come back, but I wish the money had felt better spent. For tours, rides, ATV, fried rice, and karaoke, go over to pai pak nak resort. It’s a whole village family working together to make a lovely experience. I loved it there and hope to return and have an even better stay.

The setting is beautiful and the restaurant looks nice, but the hospitality was lacking. Several things were broken or poorly equipped: the sink, a water heater too small to get the water hot, and a toilet barely big enough to put food inside. The bedding and towels are washed in the river, in brown water during rainy season. The wild dogs were the worst part. Staff feed them, and they come to the hotel whenever they want. At night they bark loudly and act aggressively when you try to get to your car. In the morning they took our shoes. One pair was dirty and taken apart, and the other was carried off and broken.

The location is amazing, the rooms were great with private bathrooms, the owners were kind, and dinner was delicious. One night we were the only guests at the homestay, though, so some menu items weren’t available. The breakfast was a letdown apart from the Thai boiled rice, which was great. The other two choices were bad, with big tubs of margarine left out every morning and a huge Costco jelly container. For coffee, in an area known for local coffee, the only option was store-bought Nescafe. We paid €105 for two nights, the most expensive place we stayed, and breakfast didn’t feel worth including at that price. If they’re going to put so little effort into breakfast, including dinner instead would make more sense. Otherwise, this was honestly a 5/5 stay. Maybe book without breakfast. There are lots of cafés nearby if you have a car, and we rented one but should have done that.

A really relaxing riverside setting, with beautiful views and clean rooms. The staff were friendly, and the food was decent and reasonably priced. Parking seemed limited, but they managed to find space for us in the end. Great place for a peaceful escape, and we hope to come back.
