We had a wonderful day at this fishing park, with a nice mountain view and excellent, smiling service. We caught three giant catfish, including one that weighed 80 kg. The owner worked really hard to help us catch gators and redtails, staying by the pond with us all day and even getting sunburned. Unfortunately the weather meant we didn’t catch those this time. We’re looking forward to coming back. Definitely recommend this fishing park!
The afternoon session came with everything included, even a pickup and return to our hotel in Chiang Mai, and we got to choose food from a local takeaway. The lady guide was lovely, stayed with us throughout, and was happy to get in the water to net fish. The lake is 15m deep and has over 200 catfish plus some grass carp. Most catches with the provided setup will be catfish, so I’d email first if you’re after other species. These fish can reach 70lb+, and having someone experienced to handle them in the water is useful. For the number and size of the fish and the guide’s help, I think the price is very reasonable. A lovely little hidden gem, and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re a tourist hoping to catch big catfish. Thank you 👍🏼
We brought three kids and they had a great time, with lots of help from the staff. The fish are absolutely huge, and catching one is such a blast. If you’ve ever wanted to land a fish around 100 pounds, you’ll love this. Highly recommend.
Bring a change of clothes if you’re going to get in the water for a photo with your river monster. There’s a shower to rinse off afterwards, though you might want to bring soap to get rid of the fish smell. The property could use some TLC, but the people are friendly and the fishing is fun. Catching those massive catfish is great. Book ahead if you can. I showed up without a reservation and was lucky they could fit me in. It cost 1000Baht for 2 hours, everything included.
We’re from Malaysia and were really satisfied with the service. If you want a good fight with a monster catfish, this is the place to go. The average fish are 35kg, and today I fought 50kg and 60kg ones. They only run private fishing tours and charge a very reasonable price. You can see how much effort goes into caring for the fish and maintaining the quality of the fishing experience. Great job! 🥰🥰
