The pool was great and the food was fantastic. We also had a lovely time with the owners, who were welcoming and easy to talk with. Soon after check-in, they told us about local activities and offered to arrange them easily and for a good price. They even invited us to their friends’ shop for drinks, which made for the best first night we’ve had at an accommodation while travelling. Their three dogs roam around freely, and we fell for Pookie. Saying goodbye after a week of giving her attention was really hard. The only downside is the drive to central Chiang Mai, about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Grabs and Bolts are very affordable, and the owners or staff can arrange a taxi too. I’d put this place at the top of my list if I return to Chiang Mai.

It’s a bit out of the way from Chiang Mai, so getting a taxi can be awkward, but the owners are always willing to help. They also arranged excursions, including an unbelievable trip to an elephant sanctuary. The staff were lovely, the owners were accommodating, and the pool and food were great. A refreshing, fun stay.

We had such a good time in the little village. The owner and his team made everything fun and comfortable, and we loved the outdoor areas. Having a drink by the pool each night was lovely. Thanks so much, we’ll definitely visit again if we come back! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

The pool table was the only real positive for us. The room felt dirty, the furniture was worn, and the facilities didn’t look like the photos online. Staff came in despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign. They said they were there to clean, but nothing seemed to have been done. Soon after, my friend noticed money was missing. I can’t say how that happened, but it left us feeling unsafe. Someone associated with the property was rude and unprofessional, and the person who seemed to manage it often appeared under the influence, which didn’t inspire confidence. We wouldn’t stay again. After my girlfriend left a review, he threatened to pay men to find us and said he would report us to the police, claiming we’d never leave Thailand.

The first room was full of bees, even on the bed. I understand that can happen in the countryside, so I asked to move. They showed me a small room at the back, and there was a bad smell as soon as I entered. Inside, I found a dead rat in the middle of the room. It must have been decomposing for a while. The receptionist apologized many times, but I decided not to stay and found another place nearby at the last minute, for much more money. Since then, the hotel has ignored me and refused to refund me. Booking.com offered to pay back a couple of bucks. That’s why I’m writing this, since it’s the only option I have. I don’t understand why they won’t apologize, return my money, and move on. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here.
