Vanilla Hill

A nice choice if you want to be surrounded by nature and away from everything, but it is far from town. Elfin farm and a coffee shop are about 15-20 minutes away, and there isn't much else to do nearby. The villa and attached sitout were good, though more blinds would help cover the corners. Staff were polite and helpful, but their limited English caused a food order to go wrong: spaghetti was understood as noodles, twice.

The walking path is clean and well maintained, with lovely butterflies around, and it's a good spot for a workout. It might be tiring for older visitors, though. The room was spotless and the location was quiet and peaceful. Best of all were the friendly staff, always smiling and ready to help. They came out with our bags as soon as we arrived to park, and were helpful and polite the whole stay, including with recommendations. A very welcoming place to relax.

A distinctive room in a beautiful setting, and they brought the food right to us. The water pressure was strong, with plenty of hot water.

We were worried about not having a car since Grab doesn't run around there, but reception quickly arranged a driver and van for the day at a better price than we'd found online. The staff even drove us in their SUV to a nearby cafe for a few hours, free of charge. Our family of six had the three-bedroom villa, with a roomy living area and balcony, kitchen utensils, a sink and fridge. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, and the master had a bath. Breakfast each morning was very nice, with croissants, toast, fruit, eggs, bacon, juice, tea, and coffee. They don't serve lunch or dinner, but have two large menus for nearby restaurants. We ordered from them each night. The food was good, though delivery took longer than expected and it arrived a little cold. A splendid few-day getaway at a welcoming, well-equipped hotel.
