Central View Hostel

I came from MY and didn’t expect a hostel in this price range to be so big. Both the room and toilet had plenty of space, and the water bidet was a nice extra. Central Hatyai Mall is within walking distance, though the nearest 7e is a 12-minute walk, which matters for MY tourists. The receptionists weren't great at English and were often MIA 😂, but you get a key for the hostel and access, so it was manageable. They made up the room and replaced the towels every day. Good value for a budget price and a strategic location.

Central hatyai is just in front, and the stay is comfortable enough for sleeping, showering and keeping dust-free. It's a cheap, clean oldschool budget place with basic but clean amenities, a bit like a typical middle-income home. The linens seemed clean though they looked old, and the room had that old hotel smell. Don't expect much. No toothbrush or toothpaste, but there is a hair dryer at the counter.

Right beside Central Hatyai, and there’s a 7-eleven nearby for late-night food, which was convenient. The room has a TV, fridge and water boiler, the basic things you need in a 4⭐ hostel. We left our keys inside and called late at night. The attendant came to help even though it took 45 minutes from home. Sorry about that, and thank you so much 🙏✨.

The location is great, right by Central Festival and Greenway Night Market, and the hostel is cheap. But the place fell well short of what I expected. We were traveling as a group and booked four rooms for three nights because most hotels in Hatyai were full for the high season and public holiday. The rooms didn't look like the Agoda pictures and were poorly maintained. Our bed was dirty and had several stains. When we arrived, the entrance was locked, the lobby was messy and nobody was at reception, so I wondered if the hostel was even open. I asked a neighbor, who called reception for me. Once we got into the room, we decided to find another hotel straight away and moved there.
