Friendlytel Hotel

I booked Friendlytel Hotel for 6-7 December 2025, but a flood in Hat Yai meant we couldn't stay. I contacted the hotel before 6 December and sent direct messages through the Booking.com app, but got no reply. I understand they may have been recovering from the disaster. On 22 December, I called again and was told to email Booking.com. I don't understand why, since the hotel should have records showing whether we stayed or not. I emailed Booking.com on 24 December to ask for a refund or to move the booking to 11-12 April 2026, and still haven't received a response. I tried to be patient about the circumstances, but it wasn't appreciated, and I can't recommend this hotel. Total loss: THB 5820.84 👎🏻

The location was convenient, about 200m from the city centre, and the room and bathroom were spacious and clean, with good water pressure. Service was courteous. We're especially grateful to MsYui at reception, who encouraged us to go ahead to Songhkla on Fri21Nov25 at 2pm. Hatyai was flooded 12 hours later. Thank you very much, MsYui.

The first room was dark and had a leaking air conditioner, so we didn't get proper rest that night. The guests next door were loud from 1am to 2am, and we could clearly hear conversations and phone calls through the poor soundproofing. I called the front desk, who said they'd remind them, but the noise went on. When I called again around 2am because it was unbearable, I was told to handle it myself. They also asked why I hadn't answered a call to my room, though I never heard the phone ring. I ended up knocking on the neighbours' door myself, and we didn't get to rest until after 2am. At 9am the next morning, staff started cleaning checkout rooms with constant knocking, banging and slamming doors, loud enough to shake our room. We couldn't sleep. On night two we were moved because of the leaking AC. The new room was brighter, and the parking attendant uncle was kind and helpful with checking the AC and arranging the move. Overall, a disappointing stay because of the noise and the condition of the first room. Be aware of the poor soundproofing and possible disturbances.

Considering the recent flood situation, the hotel was nice and clean. The rooms were spacious and clean too, with excellent water pressure, and it was quiet.
