The house itself was comfortable enough, and the owner kindly suggested places to visit. But the stay ended badly over a missing universal adapter. We were told it was missing and charged for it at checkout. This seems to be a recurring issue here. When you’re shown around, bring someone else along to check how many adapters are in each room, and report it right away if one isn’t there, or you may be charged later.

From the first day, the owner was rude to us and even tried to charge for the children. This house really isn’t suitable for families. She kept coming by to tell us not to make noise, even at night, though the upper floor is wooden and naturally makes noise. She accused us of stealing because she couldn’t understand what we were saying, and kept threatening to call the police. I’ve stayed in many places around the world and never had an owner like this. It was the worst homestay experience for me. I’d give zero stars if I could.

There are only two parking spaces, no adapter, and the main room has no toilet. The owner was rude and fussy, complained about everything, and even spoke badly to my mother. This isn’t a whole house for six people, and children are charged 800 baht per person. She threatened to call the police if we couldn’t pay her directly. She also told me to be careful when coming to Hat Yai, which felt like a threat. I can share my details myself, and there’s no need for Google or the embassy. A bad experience is a bad experience, and guests should be able to say so. She should check again what happened that day and accept the comments. I hope we meet again at the Hat Yai police station or immigration office, where they can judge it.
