Manonta Budget Hotel

For getting around, Grab cost almost the same wherever I went, around 73-83 baht. There’s a Mr DIY, a 7-11 and a mini Big C attached to the building. Staff were friendly, and the hotel has a lift. I also heard no disturbance from the nearby club during my stay. There’s a local pub directly across from the hotel, but it wasn't noisy either. Most importantly, tak ada hantu 😆 The room I had did have water leaking up through the floor whenever I stepped on it, so I kept wiping it up. I was only there for one night, fortunately. Still, it’s a great budget hotel.

The attentive, welcoming staff made my stay at Manonta Hotel in Hat Yai go smoothly. My room was clean and good, and the price was reasonable for what you get. A comfortable, budget-friendly place I'd happily recommend.

We really liked the room itself, which was spacious and comfortable, but the stay was let down by the service and some missing conveniences. We arrived tired and knew rooms were available, so we offered to pay for an early check-in. The staff wouldn't allow it before 2 PM. Check-in also took about 20 minutes despite there being no queue. Once inside, we couldn't tell which toiletries were shampoo and which were body wash because the bottles weren't clearly labelled. There was no proper place in the bathroom for either one. A possible spot near the mirror was awkward to reach, since the shower is in the upper left corner and the mirror in the lower right. There weren't enough hooks for hanging clothes or towels, either. We were also given just one key. I wanted to rest while my boyfriend went out, so we asked for another key and were willing to pay, but the staff refused. The room was great, yet the inflexible service and amenities need improvement.

The staff were the one bright spot. They were kind, customer-oriented and tried to sort out our problems. I still wouldn't recommend this place to European families with children, and I definitely won't stay again. Back in 2017, I had a good experience here, but the quality has gone downhill badly since then. Water was streaming down every wall when I first entered the room. The receptionist understood and moved us, but the replacement room faced two large restaurants just 5-10 meters away. We couldn't sleep until their music stopped at midnight. Parking was another major headache, since restaurant customers' vehicles were almost always taking up the spaces. The owner doesn't deserve such kind staff.
