We knew about the lists of charges and signed forms mentioned in the reply, but I still believe housekeeping wrongly accused us of opening a mineral water bottle. The room had five extra bottles with light blue caps in the fridge, and we were charged THB30 for an unopened one, even though we hadn’t touched the two complimentary dark blue cap bottles. It shouldn’t be our job to check every cap. Why put five extra bottles there instead of simply removing them unless a customer asks? We wouldn’t open overpriced water while the complimentary bottles were still unused. The housekeeper seemed moody, and I wonder if the sales or marketing directors know about this practice, or if they have bad intentions. There are also lots of rules and papers to sign at check-in. Think carefully before booking. Good luck, but we’d have to think 1000 times before coming back.

The room was clean, with soft sheets and good AC, and the price for a spacious room is good. But there were plenty of annoyances. The WiFi had issues, the room smelled of fresh paint, and there were creaks and noises day and night. There’s just one very small elevator, so I took the stairs. Housekeeping put the policy signs back everywhere, covering the surfaces, after I’d moved them aside or into a drawer. It wasn’t a huge deal, but still annoying. Check-in felt like buying a house, with about half a dozen policies to sign and a 1000 THB deposit every day, which is onerous and unreasonable. The location isn’t ideal, quite far from the city center, and drivers seemed to have trouble finding me.

We needed somewhere clean, well located, and affordable for our big family, and Subanan has all three. This was our second visit, and we had a very comfortable stay again. It’s more of a service apartment than a hotel, but it’s really great. The housekeeping team does excellent work caring for the whole place. Everything is well maintained, clean, and smells fresh everywhere. We love it and will definitely return.

The location is handy for finding food, and the staff speak English and Malay. Rooms are spacious, quiet, comfortable, clean, and have cold air conditioning. There’s private parking, an EV charger for drivers, and laundry machines on the premises for people staying longer.
