Taladnam Klonghae Resort

For the price, it was clean and quiet enough for an overnight stay in Hat Yai. Each room has a tiny private parking space. Inside, though, I noticed termite dents and mold on the ceiling. The bathroom is large and has a warm shower, but it wasn’t working. The water pressure was very strong, like a fire hydrant, and there’s a big jar beside the toilet whose purpose I couldn’t figure out. The only utility outlet is by the bathroom door, which makes charging my phone inconvenient.

The chalet was clean and very satisfactory, even though the area felt a bit dull. We left Klang at 11pm on a motorbike and reached the resort at 11am Thailand time. The owner kindly let us check in a little early, out of goodwill. Thank you very much, and I hope the resort continues to prosper.

The staff were friendly and cooperative, and each neat, clean room has its own parking spot nearby. The place is close enough to walk to the floating market, but it’s away from Hatyai town and most other attractions. There’s air conditioning, but no fridge or kettle, and the heater wasn’t working when we visited. The wooden rooms have small gaps, so mosquitoes get inside. I wouldn’t suggest staying here for a Hatyai vacation, but it’s okay for one night if you want to enjoy the floating market in the evening.

A budget resort with a classic feel, within walking distance of Klonghea Floating Market. Each unit has its own parking, and the staff were really helpful and spoke Malay too. Nights are peaceful, with insects audible around you.
