I’d happily stay here again. Siumber Beach Party Hostel is right by the beach, clean and comfortable, with a lively social atmosphere day and night. It’s a great place to meet people and enjoy island life. Kun, the owner/manager, made it especially memorable. He helped me with local advice, transport, recommendations, and even personal matters. He really cares about guests and went well beyond what I expected from a hostel host. I felt welcome and looked after throughout my stay. If you want good people, parties, and a host who has your back, I’d highly recommend it. Thanks, Gun, for everything 🙏🌴

From check-in to the bar, everyone was helpful and attentive, and you can tell they put real effort into making guests comfortable. The staff are genuinely caring, kind, and incredibly friendly. It’s a relaxed hostel with lovely people and a super chill vibe. I felt welcome right away and would definitely recommend it!

The room or tent was better than the rest of the experience: clean bed, enough room, and generally tidy shower facilities. It was missing a mirror and a bin. The location is great, on the beach near bars, restaurants, and a club, but the beach itself was dirty and littered. With the pool unavailable, it was the only place to cool off. The pool was murky and green, so it didn’t look safe for swimming. Staff said it had broken two hours before we arrived, though reviews made it seem it had been out longer. During our three days, it wasn’t fixed and we got no update on when it might be available. We had booked in part because this was advertised as a “Party Hostel,” but there was no party at all. Check-in was a mess too. Our room wasn’t ready at the stated time, and we were asked to wait without an apology or even a small complimentary offer. Reception was at the bar, but there were no clear signs, and nobody greeted us. We weren’t told about the facilities, so we had to ask about the pool ourselves. We signed a list of rules at check-in, including “no drugs,” while people were grinding and rolling weed at the bar/reception desk 🤣. It seemed to happen a lot, so having that rule while ignoring it right there made no sense. The pool table was also unusable for a proper game, with mismatched balls, no cue ball, and no tips on the cue. The hostel is overdue for refurbishment and some TLC. With a clean, tidy look and more energy, it could live up to what it claims to be.

The common areas made it easy to meet other travelers, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well organized. Slumber Hostel had a welcoming social atmosphere, with a nice mix of fun events and quieter spaces to relax. The staff made it feel like home, especially Gun and Angie. They went out of their way with recommendations and bookings and made everyone feel welcome. I had an amazing stay, one of my best hostel experiences while traveling, and I’ll definitely come back. I’d recommend Slumber to anyone looking for great vibes and even better people!
