Tipparika Riverview Hotel

We only meant to stay one night, but ended up spending both nights of our Hatyai visit here. It’s a small, resort-like place, and the experience was top notch. The owner was available throughout our stay. Madam and her daughters speak English very well and know basic Bahasa Melayu. The housekeeping lady speaks only Thai, but she works hard to help. She brought us free fruit and helped us with an umbrella during heavy rain. Some people might find the place quite strict. I think the owner loves it and wants to protect it for the guests. They clearly care, and I even got a small complimentary cake for my birthday 🙂.

The place is a little way from town, which suited us, and there’s a local shop just outside the gate for groceries. After traveling through Vietnam, we had a few peaceful days in this beautiful little complex, a real slice of heaven. It was spotlessly clean, the owners and staff were amazing, and the rooms had wonderful views. The pool was great, and we hardly saw anyone, so it felt like the place was our own.

At sunset, the river turns into a mirror, reflecting the sun's beautiful rays into the sky. The hotel is the best in Hatyai, with clean, spacious, comfortable rooms.
