Z Sleep Hotel

The room was spacious and clean, though the air conditioner was loud, the mattress felt uneven, and water wasn't draining properly in the shower, possibly because it was clogged. The hotel says it's cashless, yet still wanted cash for the deposit. Getting around is easy from here: Central Hat Yai is next door, Makro and ASEAN Night Market are nearby, and a tuk tuk can take you to Greenway Night Market. Hat Yai Village is also a simple Grab or Maxim ride away. It's a handy place to stay, but those room and payment issues need attention.

The bathtub felt loose underfoot and made a loud noise whenever we stepped in, so showering in it felt unstable and unpleasant. The room was also very dim, with all the lamps sharing one plug and no way to set the lighting to a moderate level. We booked a Deluxe Triple Room for three, then had a colleague join us at the last minute. The hotel charged 500 baht per night, but only supplied toiletries, a pillow, and a towel. There was no extra bed.

My friend and I checked out today, 04/10/2025, after five days and four nights at Z-Sleep. I'd stayed here once a few months ago, and the good service brought me back for a longer visit. I had a great stay in Hatyai. Ms Kao at the front desk was especially kind. She was pleasant, quick to smile, and very helpful. She offered to book our Grab ride and even use her Grab points. I felt awkward accepting, but she insisted, saying she hardly uses Grab for getting around. I felt she was just being kind, so I accepted her generous offer. I didn't get everyone's names, but the rest of the front desk team and housekeeping were cheerful, hardworking, and helpful too. I saw a review saying the staff didn't smile at someone. I wonder about that, since my experience was so different. Respect should go both ways, and nobody should expect special treatment just because they think they're special. It's hard to find good staff in such a stressful world. One great staff member is already a gift, and having so many under one roof feels like a real blessing. Thank you again to Z-Sleep's management and team. I can't wait to return and see them, especially Ms Kao, whose kindness and wonderful service I want to repay. The room was clean and the location was good, but I left disappointed by the service and unclear pricing. Staff weren't very friendly or helpful, and extra costs weren't explained upfront. There was even a charge for using the iron based on how long you needed it. They also asked my partner for a passport even though we were staying in the same room, which seemed unnecessary. The lack of transparency and poor service made the stay less enjoyable.
