Amara Resort Hua Hin

The restaurant was good, and the views across to Pattaya were superb. It’s a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Finding the place isn’t easy, so follow the signs for Bali Hi pier and continue past the car parks.

It’s 11.30pm and I can hear “smoke on the water” coming from the bar out back. The shower is weak, the air conditioner is poor, and there’s road noise too. Looks like it’s going to be a long night.

I had a great time at the International Jazz Festival in May 2025. The hosts gave us a warm, friendly welcome, and the people and atmosphere were nice. There were lots of trees and greenery, the service was good, and the restroom was clean. The food and drinks were nice, too. I’ll definitely go again.

The pool is big, but it’s a long walk from the beach. The room itself was spacious, and we stayed for a few days in a king-size bed. Room 212 on the 1st floor had an AC unit that dripped water onto the floor. They tried to fix it, but it was still dripping, so avoid that unit. Breakfast wasn’t buffet style. You could order just one item from the menu, then help yourself to bread, salad, fruit, and drinks. It’s a tropical area, but I couldn’t find the hot tub shown on the hotel website.
