The Rich Hotel Korat

Being here on a foreign exchange rate, I found it good value for money. The location just off the main highway also meant a quiet night’s sleep. That said, the room and furnishings seemed dirty, and the shower water wasn’t very hot.

Good value, with a nice breakfast. It’s a nice enough place.

When our air conditioner leaked a lot of water into the room, a very polite man came right away and offered to move us. I didn’t want to change rooms, but I appreciated how quickly they responded and solved the problem. The cleaning lady was good and polite too. The hotel itself was okay, and the breakfast selection was alright. The trouble was the breakfast staff. On the first day, I asked them to refill a food item that had run out. They said yes but never did. The next day I asked to toast bread in the bread machine, and they told me it wasn’t working, then said, “You can eat as this.” We know bread can be eaten plain, but that wasn’t a polite answer. The politeness at reception was basic, not what I’d expect from a hotel. At breakfast, it was at zero level.

I’ve stayed here many times, and it works really well for a one-night stop. There’s plenty of parking, including EV charging, and several restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel also rents bikes if you want to explore. It’s just off the main through road, with modern, clean rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast is a little limited, but okay for the room price, and the hotel is great value.
