Baan Busarin Hotel

The rooms and beds are huge, and the price is very reasonable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. It’s a lovely hotel in a great spot, quiet at night but still close to the beach, busy streets, and restaurants.

We stayed a night and a half in a twin room, and it was surprisingly spacious, with enough bed space for three people. There’s a small balcony and the bathroom was clean. Our room was on the first floor, just up one flight of stairs, but there’s no lift. The hotel has a 90s Southeast Asian resort feel, with wood furniture and tiled floors. We thought we were the only guests there on those weekdays, but it felt safe enough and we slept well all night. Breakfast is free, with several set menus. Housekeeping comes every three days, and you can request an iron for your clothes. HuaHin Railways station is 300-500m away, and we mostly got around on foot. TukTuks are nearby if needed. We rented a scooter for a day from Mr Pepsi, a small booth in front of Blackout Bar, just beside the Baan Busarin Hotel. We were planning to take the 7pm sleeper train to Hatyai, so we extended our stay from the noon checkout time until 6pm. The polite and helpful staff gave us a reasonable rate of THB400.

The bed was very comfortable, and it’s not noisy. Restaurants and nightlife are all around, but not directly beside the hotel, which is super central. It’s clean and well managed, with friendly staff, free coffee, and extra sitting areas on the first floor. It’s not old or freshly renovated, and it isn’t a five-star hotel.

The staff even left us a little basket of chocolates wishing us a Happy Christmas, and they were able to move my mother’s booking to a ground-floor room because she has trouble walking. We were a bit disappointed there’s no lift for the upstairs rooms, but that change worked out well. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day. My husband and I like firmer beds, and ours was just right. Our sons had twin rooms with softer beds, which they found very comfortable. There was lovely running hot water, and no outside noise disturbed us. It’s a lovely little hotel in the middle of Hua Hin, close to the shops and Hua Hin night market. I’d really recommend it.
