Baanleelawadee Hostel Hua-Hin

The location is very good, right on the main road next to the hospital, with the beach across the road. Two good malls are about half a mile away in either direction. We stayed in a jacuzzi pool room on the 1st floor, near reception, overlooking the main pool. Having our own plunge pool and Jacuzzi straight from the room was lovely. The room was spacious, with the bed set in the middle so you can walk around it, and a nice bathroom with a separate shower cabin. The room and estate were very clean and tidy, though a few spots could use maintenance. The large semi-exterior reception area had welcoming staff. Breakfast was excellent, with local and western options, and you could sit indoors or out. We had a very nice stay and would recommend it.

The pool is large, with plenty of sunbeds even when the hotel is full. Finger Bar by the pool has a great 2 for 1 happy hour on some drinks, and the food there was surprisingly good. The buffet at 94 Restaurant was disappointing, with very limited western choices, so I didn’t go back after the first day. The hotel itself was a good experience, in a convenient location within walking distance of most popular areas. Check-in was quick and courteous. My room was large, clean, and fairly soundproof, though a bit dated. Daily cleaning was thorough, and amenities were replaced most days.

The property is beautiful and peaceful, and I especially loved the amazing pool. Most staff were friendly, and it was a comfortable stay that felt worthwhile. I did have a couple of service issues: the room’s air conditioner dripped water, and some breakfast restaurant staff clearly treated Asian guests differently from European guests. If management fixes those things, the place would be perfect. Still recommended!
