Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin

We're back for a second visit with my daughter, and the same warm smiles greeted us at reception. The team is friendly and professional, and everything is handled quickly and in an organized way. You can see they care about their work. I really admire their dedication. On our first stay in January, my mother came with my daughter, and they loved it. The service and atmosphere were wonderful, especially the incredibly polite and kind staff. The beach is beautiful and the food is delicious. The beach bar team deserves a special mention for always being helpful, welcoming, and smiling. Whenever we arrive at reception, we feel truly welcomed. It's lovely to return somewhere where hospitality seems to matter to the people there. We're so happy to be back, will definitely come again, and recommend this place!

The room was modern, fresh, and very clean, with useful amenities, including a wireless charger. Breakfast was outstanding, with a big selection of cottage cheese, cheeses, and even smoked salmon, which is rare in Thailand. We were very impressed with the food quality. There were a couple of letdowns. At check-in, the key we were given didn't work, so we had to walk all the way back to reception for a replacement instead of relaxing right away. There were also lots of children, with noise, screaming, and running in the pool and common areas. If you're after a quiet, secluded break, this may not be the place for you. It felt more like a family camp. Traveling with kids, you'd probably love it. As a couple looking for peace, be ready for constant noise. I'd give the room's tech and breakfast a solid 5 stars, but check-in organization and the lack of quiet get a 3. My impression of this Khao Tao hotel is mixed: great facilities and food, but service hiccups and noise.

We had a good stay, and it was very quiet on weekdays, with just a handful of foreign tourists. Weekends were packed with locals from Bangkok. I'd recommend using Grab or renting a car to get around. Our two-bedroom suite with an outdoor bathtub and dining area was larger than expected. The main bedroom was private, and the kids' room had two twin beds and its own bathroom. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The cleaning crew did an amazing job, even lining up our shoes and slippers neatly. The security staff were friendly and came over to help straighten my car while I was parking. There were repairs needed in the room. One bathroom door wouldn't lock, and the other door's handle wouldn't turn. It wasn't a big issue for us as a family, but it doesn't reflect well on the hotel. The outdoor tub wasn't fully private either, since guests on the second and third floors could see it even with all the curtains drawn. The pool looked great in photos, but was too cold to enjoy during Thailand's winter. Check the seasons before booking. The hotel is quite far from the city center, and walking out for food didn't feel safe. There's an expressway roundabout to cross by the railway tracks, and cars go fast, especially at night. Other reviews mention the walk to the beach, which is because THERE IS A PRIVATE CONDOMINIUM IN BETWEEN THE HOTEL AND THE BEACH.

The sea is right by the hotel, giving it a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. My room was very comfortable, and the pool was great, though the hotel was packed when I stayed over New Year. The walkways to the rooms often looked untidy because guests came back from the pool still wet. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety, and management had things well organized. There were queues, but the two dining areas helped them handle the crowds efficiently.
