Maven Stylish Hotel Hua Hin (SHA Extra Plus)

The pool is beautiful, though it's only 1m20 deep. From the hotel, you can walk to the beach and night market, and there are a few good, inexpensive eateries across the road. The place looks brand new, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are caring, breakfast is quite nice, and the shower gets properly hot. Air conditioning is good too. Beds are comfortable, if a bit stiff.

We got a lovely welcome from the very friendly staff, and they quickly provided a cot for our small child, already made up with child-size pillows and blankets. They also have children's dishes at breakfast, which is a cute touch. The hotel is modern, nicely designed and furnished, and very clean. Room cleaning was excellent. Breakfast is minimalist, but they try to bring variety despite the limited selection. There was an unpleasant damp smell from the air conditioner in our room. Maybe it hadn't been cleaned in a while, though I'm no expert. We didn't raise it with the staff, but they should check it. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. Thank you! 👍🏻

The one real plus is the location, close to shopping, lots of eateries, and massage shops. The breakfast starts at 630am, which is convenient, but the selection is very small and the noodles were cold. If you're not fussy, it may be fine. The room was neat and clean, but I'd rate this as a 3-star hotel rather than 4-star. The bedsheets didn't feel thoroughly clean, as I could feel insect bites. The hotel slippers are very thin and low quality, and might cause guests to trip and fall. Maybe washable plastic slippers would be better than these cheap bedroom slippers. I won't return if I'm back in Hua Hin.

The pool is the standout, with an ocean-inspired look that feels like an escape even though the hotel is right in the city. Maven Stylish Hotel Hua Hin also has a modern style mixing Western luxury, Eastern touches, and underwater details. Rooms are set up for privacy and a good night's sleep, and you can get an international buffet at The Mave Cafe or food, coffee, and cocktails at The Mave Bar. It's on Petchkasem Road, close to dining, shops, and attractions, with the beach about a 10-minute walk away, roughly 700m.
