Sivana Gardens Villas Hua-Hin

We ended up spending more than we had planned because of all the extra costs, and nobody explained them upfront. The service was horrible, so I can’t recommend this place. There are other lovely villas nearby with better facilities and service for less money.

The kindness we received from Danny and the team is what I’ll remember most. While we were away for a few weeks before coming back to Sivana Gardens, they let us leave some of our luggage there. Then a medical emergency meant we had to fly home unexpectedly. Danny, who we believe owns Sivana Gardens, answered late in the evening and quickly arranged a driver to bring all our bags from Hua Hin to Bangkok so we could make our flight. We had to end our contract before it even began, and that support meant a lot to us. We’re very grateful for what they did. We were a family of six and stayed in the house for six weeks. It was very clean and comfortable, and the price was fair. We looked at many long-term rentals in Hua Hin, but nothing else at the same price or more gave us this level of comfort and service. The kitchen could have been better stocked, though. We didn’t have enough utensils, glasses, or plates.

The grounds are nicely maintained, and there’s a 25 m shared pool just a few steps from the villas by the restaurant, which was quite good. Our private pool was small and cleaned weekly. We stayed two months in a fairly new two-bedroom villa. It was clean and pleasant when we moved in, though one bathroom had a terrible smell that staff dealt with quickly. They were helpful whenever anything came up. Water and electricity were included in our rent, though I heard that isn’t the case in every villa. Extra villa cleaning costs more, and construction next door was sometimes noisy. A tip for arrival: photograph everything, since they check even the teaspoons at checkout and may charge a hefty amount for anything they say is missing. We were comfortable here and can recommend a stay.

Eventually we got our money back, after a month of back and forth and threatening to take the matter to the police. From 60,000 for two three-bedroom houses, they returned 12,900. The manager was helpful, and the houses themselves are nice, so I’m adding a star. People should still know that substantial sums may be deducted from deposits. The manager contacted me after I posted my review. They had no receipts showing our deposits, and the front office initially said we hadn’t paid, even though we insisted several times that we had. We paid in cash on arrival. They have CCTV, but for some reason didn’t check it. Before that, they’d promised to return the deposit in two days. More than a month later, we were still getting promises that accounts would be chased and someone would call that day. I heard that at least five times, but nobody called back. Eventually they stopped replying to LINE messages and answering the phone. Electricity for a three-bedroom house was an outrageous 15,000 baht a month, and they charged extra just to wash the bed linens. Check every fork, spoon, plate, and cup when you arrive, as they charge for missing items. I can understand checking, but they take it too far. If you care about your money, stay away.
