Stardust Boutique Hotel

It’s a beautiful, well-kept property with a nice outdoor garden and a clean, modern kitchen area where you can sit with a laptop and work. There’s a mini Big C market right out front. It’s a nice location, though not very central, about a 10-minute walk to the night market and 15 minutes or a little more to Hua Hin beach. A lot of the small practical details frustrated me. The dorm room number isn’t on the key card, just the bed number, so I forgot which dorm I was in and had to walk around checking the room numbers. The privacy blinds for the bunks have chains that make a lot of noise whenever someone pulls them up or down, enough to wake you. Fabric curtains that slide quietly would be much better. There’s a safe in the bed area, but it had no battery, so you have to ask for one to use it. They also don’t have basic cutlery like a sharp knife for cutting fruit or vegetables, and there’s no free drinking water. The dorm washrooms have no soap dispensers by the sinks. After using the toilet, I had to go into the shower stall for gel or shampoo, then come back out to wash my hands. I asked about it and was told, “don’t have.” I left lemons and yogurt in the fridge. The lemons went missing, and the yogurt had been taken out of my bag and put somewhere else. When I asked at reception, the girl said she didn’t know. Later she found the bag of lemons under the sink and told me I should tell reception whenever I want to put something in the fridge, so they can label it. They don’t even have stickers, and it seemed like my job to ask her to make a note. When I sat in the garden, nobody cleared the ashtray all day. The cigarette butts and ash blew everywhere in the wind, and there wasn’t a rubbish bin either. I don’t recommend it.
