Sunshine Guest House

The location depends on what you're after. It's a literal two minute walk to the good stretch of beach, where the sand, sea and space get much better farther from town. But the main town is a 20 minute walk away. If you want beach time and don't mind walking both ways for every meal, I'd rate it 5/5. For nightlife and food nearby, maybe 2/5. I'd give it 3/5. There are signs outside for both Sunshine Guesthouse and Sunshine hotel, and you can book rooms at different prices under both names on at least two booking sites. We were debating them as if they were separate places when choosing. Our basic room with ensuite had what we needed, but nothing fancy, and it was clean enough to be perfectly serviceable. Building work meant the reception was dusty, and with shoes left at the door we often had to dust them off before putting them on. There's no elevator, so our top floor room meant four flights of stairs every time. The receptionist was nice and check-in was quick. The main downside was a staff member's small dog, which barked and postured like a giant wolf despite being teddy-bear sized. It genuinely seemed to try to scare me off at check-in, which was a little comical. Yes, I'm counting the dog as part of the staff experience since it was there during check-in.
