Narawan Hotel

The location is good, and reception has a microwave and free hot drinks. Still, there are plenty of nearby hotels that are better value. There's no in-room safe or kettle, and they don't provide drinking water daily.

For the price, the room is spacious and exceptionally clean, with a private balcony, working AC, hot and cold water, and bottled water provided daily. Everyone was super nice, from check-in to the cleaning staff. There are two microwaves by the elevator for heating leftovers. Pats is across the street for breakfast, a 7-11 is over the train tracks, and there's a great coffee place at the end of the street. A giant mall is down the road toward the main drag. For 100.00 US, we had four nights here; elsewhere, 200.00 US might get you a resort with breakfast but no deck or balcony.

There's a nice pool and covered parking, and the staff are nice. The rooms are a good size, furnished well, and clean. The place is maintained well, though it is showing a little age. It's good value for the cost and close to restaurants, services, and nightlife, though not near the beach. The nearby railroad can be noisy, and depending on the room, so might the nightlife.

The trains passing every couple of hours were quite loud, which was the main downside. Still, I had a relaxing, friendly stay for just over a week in Hua Hin, and would recommend the hotel. The pool is very nice, though it only gets sun in the morning, and there is parking at the back and front for cars and bikes. Staff were good and friendly enough. My room had a balcony, which was relaxing, and it was clean and nice, with a fridge, wardrobe, TV, kettle, tea, and coffee. The shower was good, but the curtain was annoying and left the bathroom quite damp. There are restaurants and cafes next door and along the road in both directions. The beach is about 10 minutes away across the main road. A shopping mall with a Tesco, clothes shops, and more restaurants is also about 10 minutes away. Walking to the town centre takes around 20 minutes, but it's not too bad.
