The Barai Suites and Spa at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin (SHA Plus+)

We came with children aged 7-9 and older family members who can’t walk very far, so the layout and beach access mattered a lot. The rooms are a short walk from a wide beachfront with clean sand, and the buildings sit among trees and lovely greenery. We’ve been to many beach resorts in Thailand, and this place went beyond my expectations. I’m very choosy about vacation hotels, and not every five-star resort in Hua Hin has a beachfront this beautiful. Horse riding and banana boat rides are available through public services. There’s plenty for adults and kids to do, with staff on hand. The kids club has real activities and nice staff. The pool connects the children’s and adults’ areas, with the lagoon pool linked to the main one. The long dragon slide is great for anyone 120 cm tall through adults. Rooms have balconies with ceiling fans, and drinking water is available on request. The room views are well designed architecturally, and the interiors are modern and practical, except in the standard room, where opening the shower door takes up the space for brushing your teeth. Breakfast was super, with local Thai dishes, Patongko (Chinese crossant) with plenty of seeds and nuts, fresh warm bakery items, gluten-free pastries, and drinks ranging from green tea to Thai tea. There were both healthy and less healthy buffet choices. The smooth paths around the resort and along the beachfront are nice for a morning or late-afternoon walk or jog.

The only thing I’d change is the tennis court surface, which could use an update. Mhee’s tennis lessons, on the other hand, were truly excellent. The staff were welcoming and very attentive, and our children especially enjoyed the swimming pool and water slide. There’s also table tennis, a pool table, and a well-equipped gym. Hyatt Regency Hua Hin sits right by the beach, with restaurants and shops an easy walk away. We had a fantastic stay and would gladly return.

The kids club was superb, and helped make this a great family stay. We found the service warm and attentive from everyone, the food was delicious, and being close to the beach was perfect. It was relaxing and memorable, and we’d love to come back 🥰

Our five-year-old had a great time at Camp Hyatt and kept busy with all the activities. The pools, food, and relaxed atmosphere made for a fun family getaway, and the staff were so warm and welcoming. We had a memorable stay at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin and can’t wait to return.
