Thai House Hua Hin

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a lovely traditional Thai place with a bedroom, bathroom, and a seating spot under the veranda. It’s peaceful, though there isn’t much nearby: a few places to eat close around 8 pm, and both the nearest beach and lake are about a 20-minute walk. Hua Hin is around 15 minutes away by car, so you’ll need transport. We took a taxi each evening.

A small, very pleasant resort, and the Thai breakfast was especially good. We were greeted so warmly. I’d recommend staying here.

The rooms are wooden units with verandas for sitting outside. They’re not especially big, but there’s a large fridge. I’d have taken out the big chest of drawers, and the beds are extremely hard, the hardest of the nine hotels we stayed in on our Thailand trip. I liked how quiet the separate units were. Three are joined pairs with a shared outdoor area. The garden is gorgeous and full of well-kept flowers, and there’s a good-sized pool with loungers. It’s relaxing, though the many balls floating in the water make swimming laps difficult. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at the restaurant, but lunch was hit and miss. Some days it was closed, though drinks were still available. When we couldn’t get a meal there, we went to Cafe101 nearby. The coffee and fruit smoothies were refreshing, especially by the pool.

We’re leaving today after two weeks, and the staff have been first class, working hard to make guests’ stays memorable. Our Thai-style chalet was great, and the gardens are beautifully cared for. The pool area is lovely too. If you’re after somewhere peaceful to relax, this is the place.
