Le La Lake Resort and Spa

The main guests' behavior made the stay uncomfortable. Many seemed to come from a high-society background, but that didn't mean good manners. I saw staff spoken to rudely and other guests treated with visible disrespect, as if they were somehow less than others. Everyone pays the same price and deserves the same respect. I felt sorry for the staff, who were treated badly, and it seemed this clientele was never satisfied no matter how hard the team tried. We stayed 3 days, 2 nights, and this did not feel like an “exceptional case scenario.” Because of the atmosphere, I wouldn't choose to return, even though the property itself is lovely. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and very well designed. The staff were polite, attentive, and clearly doing their best to make the stay pleasant. The hotel gets a lot right in its look and hospitality, but a beautiful place can't make up for an unwelcoming environment.
