At Kamala Hotel

The hotel is in a good spot, but the rooms could use more fresh air. We started in small room 202, where the A/C cooled things quickly. Then we were moved to the larger room 302, which hadn't been cleaned properly. The mosquito net on the bathroom window was broken, and the A/C there wasn't working well. It took 15 minutes to cool the room.

We’ve been here a few days, and the room is cleaned and tidied daily, with the bed made, fresh towels, and the fridge topped up with a free bottle of water for each of us. Every family member greets us with a smile and a warm hello. They also provide beach towels, mats, and an umbrella at reception. The room has fast internet, good A/C, plenty of light and storage, and lots of space. Guests can use the roof sundeck, and the price feels fair. AT Kamala is a small family run hotel close to restaurants, shops, and lovely Kamala Beach. There’s no 24 hour desk, but when we arrived at 3:30 AM we were welcomed, shown to our room, and told we could complete check-in later. Our first impression was how fresh and clean the modern room felt. My partner and I highly recommend it.

A really nice little hotel with spacious, modern rooms that were perfectly clean. We had a balcony. The location works well, though getting to the beach means crossing through the restaurants between the main street and the shore. Beach towels and mats are available from the hotel if you want them.

The people were nice and the location was great. The rooms were comfortable enough for a 2-star hotel, and breakfast was good, with four Western and Thai choices. I especially liked the rice, chicken, and egg plate. Healthy and delicious!
