Skylight 2 bedrooms New Villa in Kamala

I do NOT recommend this villa. The whole Airbnb booking felt extremely fishy. We booked months ahead, when the listing showed interior photos. A few weeks before the trip, all the photos disappeared. When we asked about it, they said there was an issue with that listing, sent us a link to a new one, and said we’d be put in a different villa. They reassured us that the other villa was booked for us and didn’t want us to cancel. On arrival, the villa looked fine and the staff were friendly. But during dinner, the glass dining table fell onto one friend’s leg while there was hot soup on it. We reported it, and it took two days for someone to come fix it. Then we had no water for the last two days, a total of 36 hours without being able to use toilets, sinks, or showers. The maintenance man came several times, but it still wasn’t fixed. One night, he asked a friend if we had water. As our friend approached, the maintenance man slipped on the extremely slippery steps and hit his head, so we had to take him to the hospital for stitches. Trying to sort things out with the host through Airbnb was awful, and we got no satisfactory resolution. He has plenty of staff working for him, but doesn’t seem to care about the service he provides.

My friends and I booked a villa near Kamala beach in Phuket because it looked nice and clean on Airbnb. The experience was absolutely miserable. The AC units leaked onto the floor, leaving huge puddles that several people slipped on more than once. On our second night, the water ran out and didn’t come back for over 30 hours, so we couldn’t shower or flush the toilet. A repairman came several times to “fix” it, but it wasn’t resolved. One friend also slipped on the steps while trying to signal the repairman and needed stitches at the local clinic. The stairs are sharp and extremely slippery when wet, which happens often in Thailand. This villa isn’t suitable for anyone to stay in. I don’t recommend booking with Skylight Villas.

All they seem to care about is money. They don’t clean properly and don’t provide the services or equipment you need. On the final day, they asked for ten times the usual price for electricity! Bad service, poor apartment, and zero communication. Don’t go there, horrible. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻🚩🚩🚩
