The Bell Pool Villa Resort

The location made it somewhat inconvenient to get around, and communicating through the guest app caused several mix-ups on their end. Breakfast also needs work: there wasn't much variety, and the food didn't seem as fresh as you'd expect at a resort of this level. Still, we enjoyed the stay, and the atmosphere was nice. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist, which was a real highlight.

My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon at The Bell and soon wished we’d booked the entire trip there. We still think about it fondly months later. It’s a private oasis, with a gorgeous room and our own pool where neighbors couldn’t see in. Perfect for skinny dipping. The staff were lovely and polite, and gave us lots of privacy. I have dietary restrictions, and they went above and beyond, even adding menu items for me. The gluten free pancakes were phenomenal. We also splurged on a private chef at our villa, and there was so much delicious food. They took care to make sure my dietary needs were covered. I wish every hotel were like The Bell. They set a standard I haven’t found anywhere else. Whenever I have a tough day, I wish I could go back. I couldn’t recommend it more, and if we lived closer, we’d try to return every year.

The service was good overall, but checkout was frustrating because nobody came to help with our luggage. The amenities were sparse: no conditioner, earbuds, or other hygiene supplies beyond soap, shower gel, and shampoo. Each person had one body towel, one couple had one hand towel, there was nothing for face or hair, and the swimming pool towel was torn. What left me disappointed was the uneven setup in our two-bedroom villa, rented by two couples. One bedroom was spacious and nicely decorated, with a pool view and a large attached bathroom with a bathtub suited to a couple. The other was like a matchbox, with two small beds facing a grey wall with almost no plants. Its door led to a bathroom with a normal shower that was locked, so we had to leave the room or villa and enter it from outside. For four adults paying for a villa, I expected both couples to get the same experience. I wouldn’t even leave my children in that little room facing the wall.

Melody at the front desk made us feel especially welcome and added a lot to our stay. We had a great time at Bell Pool Villa, where the villa felt incredibly luxurious. The property is in the quieter, less populated part of Kamala in Phuket.
