Getting around Kamphaeng Phet without your own transport can be tricky. Songthaews that once ran every few minutes now come only about once an hour, though motorbike taxis and drivers will take you places for an agreed price. Reception can help arrange a ride. I rented a bike from the hotel, but it had just one working brake. Traffic was relaxed enough that it wasn't a big issue. The hotel itself is good value, and the staff are excellent. My room was fine, if a little dated. Breakfast was filling and decent, the usual provincial Thai hotel sort, rather than anything luxurious. I used to stay at Phet Hotel on an earlier visit, but it had closed a long time ago, so I tried Navarat Heritage Hotel this time.

The service was great, and breakfast was a good start to the day. Rooms are modern, clean, and practical, with comfortable beds and a quiet atmosphere. The only letdown was the weak shower pressure.

An older hotel, but it's in good shape and sits in a handy central spot. You can walk to places a traveler might need, including 7-Eleven, the markets and night market, barber shops, and temples.

The one thing I missed was a swimming pool. With one, this would be a great place to stay and unwind. What really stood out was how considerate the staff were. The front desk greeted us with big smiles as soon as we came in, and they were happy to help when we asked about facilities. The dining room staff helped cook our meals and came by our table three times to clear empty plates. Their service left a great impression on me.

I've stayed at quite a few hotels in Thailand, and this one ranks among the best. It's affordable, clean, and well cared for, right in the town center. The Night Bazaar is just a three-minute walk away. The rooms look like the photos.
