I ended up staying longer than planned. I’m a 38-year-old expat living in Thailand and traveling solo around Southeast Asia, and this place made it easy to recharge or connect with people. I might have ended up kayaking with someone I’d just met over breakfast. It’s a riverside stay with a jungle feel, eco-style glamping, and welcoming hosts who make you feel part of the tribe. The tents were clean and comfortable, surrounded by nature, with hammocks and lanterns. Mornings brought birdsong, and evenings meant campfires and easy chats under the stars. There’s also a yacht if you’re feeling fancy or spontaneous. It’s not for everyone: if you want crisp hotel sheets and perfect air conditioning, this may not be your scene. Bathrooms are semi-open, Wi-Fi comes and goes, and you might have the occasional gecko as a roommate. That’s part of the charm.

It’s a pretty cheap option for the lowest room type, so it’s worth the price. You get a great view of the Chao Praya River, and the staff are friendly.
