Sugar Cane Guesthouse Ii

I found the staff at Sugar Cane Guest House helpful and full of useful information. You can stay in a raft room with lovely river views, or choose a small cabin-style room. The river disco boats add noise too, so it’s not the place for serious peace and quiet. The walls are paper thin, which can make an early night difficult if the people next door are noisy. Geckos dart around and there are lots of mosquitoes, so bring good protection. A place like this should have mosquito nets. For me, it was good value for both the stay and the food since I was out and about most of the time.

It’s a quiet spot close to the center, and the price is convenient. The rooms are basic and fun, though my mattress wasn’t comfortable because I could feel the springs.

You can stay on land or in one of the floating rooms, and the main tourist area is just a couple of minutes away. The view over the famous Bridge over River Kwai is perfect, and both the rooms and food are cheap. It’s a lovely, quiet place. I enjoyed watching the river, swimming, and listening to the animals. Reading in my hammock was even funnier when a Karokee boat went past. I’ll be back soon to this little nirvana.

The river view is the best part. It’s a quiet place about 1km from Kwai river bridge, with friendly, helpful staff and cheap, tasty food and drinks. The room is very basic, but at that price I can’t complain. I think you can enjoy your stay if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, and I’d recommend it :)
