I paid ahead in January to reserve a single bed, but when I got there they gave me a double and said every room was full. I'm still not sure why I bothered booking in advance. The room was expensive too, especially for its condition.

We had food there on two days, and it was either bland or much too salty. The place is remote if you don't have a car, and the rates aren't cheap. It used to be called Aurora Resort Kanchanaburi before becoming The Breath Kanchanaburi. The wooden bungalows and their furniture are old, just as the photos show. On our first day the water heater failed, so we had to call a technician. The water pressure was weak and the internet signal only showed two bars. Then, while I was showering on checkout day, a centipede about a hand's length long turned up in the bathroom. The hotel only said we could switch rooms. On the day we were leaving, what good would that have done? They didn't take responsibility.
