Bpuu made the stay so easy. She paid close attention to guests and arranged breakfasts to suit our tastes, along with other optional meals. Drinks and other things were also available from the fridge on an honor system. There was no noisy music, drunken neighbors, barking dogs, or the other things that can ruin the peace on Thai islands. That may have helped that the island is mostly Muslim and less developed than others, and that Ramadan was happening during my March 2026 stay. The rooms are modern, spotless, comfortable, and quiet, with Wi-Fi and views right over the beach. It’s tempting to watch the waves from the air-conditioned room and comfortable bed, or sit on the shaded deck at the big table and take in the daily sunset. The location and service were amazing. The sandy shore from LangKhao beach to Wild Beach has a very gentle slope, so you have to walk quite far out to swim. At low tide, you can walk to Gwaang island for fun. A rental motorbike makes it easy to get around the island on paved trails. There are only about 25 km of roads on the whole island, and the owner can help arrange a bike, though there are also many shops near the pier. Restaurants and a day and evening market are about 10 km away. Boat trips to island sights, including the emerald cave and snorkeling spots, are easy to find. Sadly, dugongs don’t often come to Libong anymore. After the government dredged a nearby waterway to make more money for the fishing industry, silt covered and killed the seagrass they feed on. Hopefully it will recover in a few years. You can still try to spot dugongs on the same boat tours. The dugong observation tower has an impressive view, as does the underrated Ba Tu Pu Te viewpoint.

I spent nine days here and loved it. Poo runs a great homestay, and it looks just like the pictures. At low tide, it’s an easy walk into the village. Poo can arrange a scooter, day trips, onward travel, and laundry. Breakfast came with eggs, toast, sausages, fruit, and endless coffee. The island’s beautiful beaches are easy to reach by scooter. Highly recommend.

I visited in the off-season, in late May, and the neighbors were so kind. Even with no staff around, they got me checked in by 10 am and let me help myself to the beer fridge when nobody was there to serve me. Really cool, generous people, and the best value property in the area.

The lovely aunty who runs the accommodation made our time on Koh Libong wonderful. I forgot to ask her name, but I won’t forget her kindness and hospitality. From the moment we arrived, she was welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and she went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well kept, so it was a relaxing stay. She arranged a motorbike rental and offered laundry service. Breakfast was delicious, too, and a lovely way to start the day. She treated us with such genuine warmth that we felt at home. I rarely write reviews, and this is my first, but this place deserved one. Hospitality like this is hard to find. If you’re visiting Koh Libong, I highly recommend staying here. Thank you for making our trip so memorable. We’ll always remember your kindness and hope to return someday.

The room was spacious, had a sea view, and the bedding was comfortable. But the beach is full of stones, so swimming isn’t possible. There was no housekeeping during our five days, and our towels were never changed. We had nowhere to put our luggage or hang towels. The air conditioning leaked into the bathroom, so our feet got wet every time we used the toilet. The bath mat was extremely dirty at check-in and stayed that way for all five days. Breakfast was light and exactly the same each morning. A single, ultra-thin slice of watermelon for two people is outrageous given the price per kilo. There are no restaurants nearby, and portions are tiny if you eat at the hotel. It’s best to rent a scooter to get to the small village, but that isn’t possible for everyone. In that case, you’ll have to make do. I think it’d be easy to find better accommodation on Ko Libong.
