KALUME' Eco Boutique Resort

The bungalows are very clean, and the restaurant food is great. Honestly, don't bother trying other places, you'd just waste your time. Stefano and his wife do a great job running the place, and you can tell the staff love working here. They can arrange transfers if you need them. Kalume is on one of the best islands to stay on in Thailand, a little piece of heaven. Like I told Stefano, it's the exotic Italian part of Thailand. We've promised ourselves we'll come back and stay for at least a week.

We were there for a few days between Xmas and NY, and it was easily the best resort on the island. Great rooms, the best restaurant, a cosy atmosphere and super helpful staff. They work hard to keep their environmental footprint down. Highly recommended.

Kalumé is small and intimate, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to chat and smile with the other guests. Koh Kradan is a magical island, and Kalumé is the jewel on the crown. We even enjoyed a massage on a wooden platform beside the beach, and there are snorkels and kayaks to use free of charge. The food is lovingly prepared Italian cooking, the kind you'd be happy to find in Modena or Bologna. Finding it on a Thai island was astounding. The prices are near European levels, but so justified. Daniela and Stefano were warm and welcoming, and seeing how close they are with their staff added to the atmosphere. Stefano was also very helpful with tours and transfers. We were lucky to stay an extra day, grazie del cuore Daniela, and still felt so sad to leave. We changed our travel plans after reading the reviews and seeing photos of Kalume, and took the only dates available. It was the best decision of our trip. From arrival, it felt like paradise. The staff were friendly, the location amazing, and the grounds kept to incredibly high standards. Our beautifully decorated villa had a breathtaking view through the full wall window, almost like CGI.

The outstanding Italian food was the highlight, every dish a delight. Kalume Resort has a stunning setting and a beautiful beach, and Stefano and Daniela, along with their friendly staff, make the atmosphere warm and welcoming. A great combination of relaxing, hospitality and food. Highly recommended.
