For the price, 600-700 baht a night when I wrote this, it was great value. The rooms are large enough for a couple to stay comfortably for a few nights, and the room, bathroom and bedsheets were clean. There's a mini fridge, TV and small balcony, plus a huge parking area behind the building. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed them. You can rent bicycles, and they'll arrange transport if needed. A 7-11, restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and the train station is about 600 m away. The main drawback is access: rooms start on the second floor, and there's no elevator.

The room has nice rustic decor, but the water pressure is low because of a plumbing problem. There is no lift between floors, so if an older person stays here, they should ask for a lower floor or climbing higher up may be a problem.

We only stayed one night. The standard room felt claustrophobic, so we upgraded to one with a window. It was very clean, with a fridge, good air conditioning and a comfortable bed, though the pillows were very large. There was tea and coffee at reception, and the receptionist spoke good English. Several restaurants are a short walk away, as are a 7/11 and a few local supermarkets.

For the price, it's a good place to stay in Kantang: convenient and inexpensive. The room and bathroom are a decent size, fairly modern, and the bed and linen are comfortable. The only small issue is the large bathroom has no shelves to put anything on, not even in the shower.
