JR Siam Hotel

The location was good for the price, our room was quiet, and the air conditioning worked well. The person who checked us in at midnight was friendly, but the daytime staff weren't. They never said hi or good morning, and one woman got mad when I asked about the Wi-Fi. It only worked on one of the four days we stayed. We needed it to check in for our next flight and book another hotel, but it still didn't work. All they told us was “fixing.” The TV only had local channels. The shower was broken and sprayed water all over the bathroom floor. One day it was completely dry, and when we asked for help, someone opened something and brown, filthy water came out. It was gross and disgusting. The laundry wasn't good either. They didn't weigh it in front of us, and all my clothes shrank, so don't do laundry here. They wouldn't let us pay by credit card even though they had the device, and charged 3% for it.

The Wi-Fi was spotty at best, so don't expect it to work. The shower head was loose and wouldn't stay on its wall mount, meaning you had to hold it every time. The grounds seem run-down now, though they may have been great a few years ago, and the pool water was never full, which seemed oddly strange. There's rarely anyone at the desk or around to help if something goes wrong. They leave a sign with a number to call, but without a Thai SIM card, you can't call anyone. The bed is firm, as are many beds in Thailand, so be warned. There's no food or drink at the hotel. It's okay, but overpriced for what you get. At half the price it'd be worth it, but for what they charge, you're better off somewhere else.

We had a relaxing, lovely time here. The room was spacious and perfectly clean, and we really enjoyed spending time at the great swimming pool. The service was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place!

The staff were really nice and helpful, but a lot of things didn't go well. The room didn't match the pictures, the air conditioning didn't work properly, and the bed was too hard. Wi-Fi stopped working in the evening and was down most of the time. There was no room service during our stay, no water in the morning, and loud noise at 10 am. It looked like the ratings had been bought.
