Kata Noi C. Tapkaew Bungalow

The pool was the one letdown, really tiny and not inviting. Otherwise we had a great stay in a spacious two bedroom villa with a full kitchen. They supplied bath and beach towels, and we could swap used beach towels for clean ones at reception. The front desk was friendly and welcoming, and housekeeping was excellent, even washing dishes we’d left in the sink. There are lots of restaurants next door, plus a supermarket and a 7-11 just steps away. The 7-11 was closed for renovations during our visit. I’d highly recommend the hotel.

The only decent part was being right by the beach. Construction started at 8 every morning and carried on into the evening, every day. The rooms are old, there’s no elevator, and I had to haul two bags weighing over 20 kg each up and down the stairs myself at check-in and checkout.

The pool’s small, but it was very clean and just right for cooling off. The beach is about a five minute walk away, and the rooms were spotless. The women running the place were incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was right. Would happily recommend it. Thanks, Kata Noi Resort.

Birds will wake you early, so bring earplugs. The houses are quiet and clean, with a large, comfortable terrace, and it’s a great place to stay. The pool is very small, really only usable for children. The beach is around 500m away on foot because the direct route crosses private land closed by a hotel. One of the best restaurants in Kata noi is on the corner, give it a try if you stay here.
