Peach Blossom Resort & Pool Villa

The hotel is on a very steep hill, and although there’s a shuttle up and down, it doesn’t run all the time. My daughter slipped while walking down and badly scratched her leg. We had three rooms booked and asked to keep just one room later, after being assured we could stay until at least 2 pm, but on checkout day the hotel changed its answer and said it couldn’t accommodate us. One room with some sea view also had a constant sewer smell on the balcony, even though it was on the fifth floor. The location is good, but the food and service were average, and nearby restaurants had better food.

The hill up to the villa area is steep, something to consider if walking is difficult, you have a pram, or you expect to go back and forth several times a day. The villa and location were the strongest parts of our stay at Peach Blossom Resort in Kata Beach, Phuket. We had a two-bedroom private pool villa with breakfast included, and all the space and our own pool made for a comfortable, premium-feeling family trip. It’s easy to get to Kata Beach, with shops and everyday services like massages and laundry close by. The breakfast buffet had decent variety and was good enough to start the day, though it wasn’t world class. Good value for the villa and location. We’d happily stay again, especially for the private pool.

Our room had a simple, elegant design and plenty of space. We were given a mountain-view room overlooking the city of Karon Beach. Breakfast was a real favorite, especially the overnight oats my daughter loved. Reception staff greeted us with a smile whenever we passed.

The central location was the one good thing. The hotel was terrible: it smelled, wasn’t clean, and had insects in the rooms. The rooms were old and run down, the beds uncomfortable, and breakfast had very few choices and was awful. It felt like a two-star stay. Completely disappointed.
